Official presentation of the Metadistrict at the VEGA Open Day on the 7th of May 2007.

The past 7th of May there had been the official presentation of the Digital Media Metadistrict during the VEGA Open Day, the celebrative event for the 10th year of VEGA Science Park.

The event represented a good chance for MDM’s companies to exchange experiences and debate with the numerous operators of the sector.

The Metadistrict has been presented by:

• Massimo Colomban, representing the Development Agreement (see the attachment)
• Dario Bovo, MDM Coordinator (see the attachment)
  

Also attending at the Open Day Mr Carlo Trevisan, CEO and Managing Director of Nethun, Mr Bruno Salomoni, Director of the Informative System in Regione Veneto. Mr Mauro Maugeri, journalist at the Sole 24 Ore coordinated the meeting.

About 700 companies with more than 11.000 employees, 20 Institutions, Research and Innovation Centers, Art and Cinema Institutions and important Trade Associations joined the Digital Media Metadistrict.

The Metadistrict is a cluster of companies capable of establishing a critical mass in order to activate sinergies of skills by planning activities and promoting the digital media sector in Veneto, also supporting innovation and competitiveness for the associates.
