VEGA is the example of the conversion of the industrial site of Porto Marghera.
The missions of the VEGA Park are the following:
1. industrial redevelopment and technological transfer
to launch of a number of initiatives – most notably technological platforms, innovation laboratories and a system of relations, networks and communities – to support the transfer of scientific and technological knowledge from universities and from the research sector to the fabric of the SMEs operating in the area of Venice and in the Veneto region overall;
2. new business incubator
to stimulate the establishment of new initiatives and the development of innovative entrepreneurial ideas, by partnering with entrepreneur’s associations.
VEGA supports the development of university and company start-ups and spin-offs with a range of tools.
